This is the first attempt to catalog soap ration cards issued in Germany between 1939 and 1949. It contains all soap cards issued by the Nazi government 1939-1945, local soap cards issued in Bavaria and Württemberg between 1945 and 1948 an the soap cards of the bizone 1948-1949.  Local variants of soap cards issued in 1939-1940 are left out. Soap ration cards of the British, French and Soviet occupational zones will be treated in subsequent publications.
