Abstract
Czechoslovakia was partitioned during the WWII. Already in 1938 Hitler forced Czechoslovakia to cede Sudetenland to Germany. Slovakia separated from Bohemia and Moravia and an independent state of Slovakia was created. The remainder of former Czechoslovakian state was occupied by Germans and called Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia (Protektorat Böhmen und Mähren). It was formally a sovereign state but it depended on Germany. After the WWII was Czechoslovakia was reunited except Karpatho-Ukraine which became a part of USSR. If we are interested in rationing in Czechoslovak teritory during 1939-1953, we must divide this period into two parts – WWII (protectorate cards) and past WWII (Czechoslovak cards).
